We are looking for ideas for donor recognition for a new building. Something in the line of a permanent plaque...does anyone out there have any neat "campy" ideas they would like to share?
Thanks-
Cassandra

DId the donor make the building possible? If so naming it after them is always a good start.

I have seen some cool "campy" plaques. They usually involve the cross-section of a tree and then the brass plate with info. A plaque with sticks used as a frame. Shadow Boxes work well since you can have stuff in it like a boarder of pinecones, whatever and have the inscription on the middle part.

This might sounds silly, but maybe a tree nearby the building that was sponsored. That way it can be there for a while and can grow and change overtime just as the activites that are performed in the building will. Plus, trees just rock!

You can also place a neat plaque below the tree.

Oh, sorry to leave so many posts. At my camp they have a really pretty bench with words engraved on it. Good luck!
