Wow this board has been really dead-- no new posts since October. Anyway, what are your plans for camp 2016? Has any one applied yet? Any changes in plans?

Hey Marty! You're right, these message boards are basically finished off. Now, with the new website design, its even harder to find the link for the message boards, its as if they're playing hide and seek with the message boards. I applied way back in September to a residential camp that is quite a distance away from me (over 1500 miles away!). This is a big change for me, I have spent the last 3 years or so working at a day camp up here by me. It is a tough transition because I have had the pleasure of spending the past 3 years with the same kids. I will still be working at the day camp as a floater but only for the last 3 weeks of camp. I applied for camp so early because I like to get everything ready very much ahead of time. I am NOT a procrastinator when it comes to camp. I am trying out the waters in terms of residential camps, my home is with day camps but it should be an interesting experience this summer. Hopefully some changes will happen soon with these message boards. I really enjoy being able to talk to other camp staff on here without having to travel through out the country.

I really hope these message boards pick up-- We never had these boards as bad as they are now-- they only time I remember the boards being as slow as they are now was during the summer when everyone was at camp. Good luck at the new camp Nick!

Well... here are the boards. It's exam time here at the high school, and I've been looking for something to keep me occupied. It took a while to find the boards.

As usual, I am headed back to camp in PA. It will be my ninth summer. I am in the same position, and I'm looking forward to working with some new staff and also empowering some returners. We've made a lot of changes to camp over the winter, and I'm excited to see some new program areas in use.

At the end of the summer, instead of heading back to NC, I will be moving back to IL to start grad school in the fall.

Why do they make the forum so hard to find? It's easier to just google ACA forum and follow the direct link.

The ACA should at least link it from the ACA website and they should promote it
