This is a well known game that I've Seen on a lot of forums and i thought I'd bring it back on here 'cause I'm bored and i think it'll be fun...

at camp robbiswold we have an Enchanted Forest unit... anywho, girls scouts all the way. i'm a straight up G(scout!)
J- Jack and Jills (radio code word for intruders, who are fun to chase off camp)
L-Letters, i love getting them!
M - MOO! go the cows at night... LOL
K-Keeping it real, it's always real at camp, no fake emotion, no putting on airs, just completely and totally real and that's why I love it!!
L- Laughter...there's alot of that!
M- Moose
There was a great big moose, who liked to drink a lot of juice!
N - Nut Hut! (Our staff house)
O- the big red letters stand for the jello family!
P-Pine Trees, lots of trees at camp, especially pine trees:)
Q- Quite an AWESOME experience haha
S- Sleeping under the Stars!
V - Volley Beachball that i cant play
W - Water! (either drinking lots of it or playing in it)
Y- Y can't summer camp last all year?
Z - Zoology: the great outdoors at camp provides much to learn about wild life - in our woods there are black bears, deer, wolves, snakes, bobcats, and bald eagles, just to name a few.
Seemed like as good a time as any to jump back in the discussion after being gone for a couple years.

N- No Boys! well if you work at girl scout camp...
O - opportunities! Kids and staff have opportunities they might not otherwise have.
P - PARENT FREE!!! but u still have Family
Q-quiet time.
best spent by the lake with a good book!
R-rest hour, you know we all love it
S- Sunsets on the dock and sunrises on the beach!
T - teeth. we count to see how many teeth are lost in a session! record is 9 from session 2 this summer!
U - Underwear songs! (BVDs, God Bless my Underwear...)
W - watching the loons on the lake or the ducks on the beach
X - this is a hard one...but how about no eXclusion?
camp is a place where we try to include everyone.
Y- Yummy food! ...we all love smores and food cooked over a fire!!!
Z - Zen. nature is a very calming place, which creates a zen feeling. eh?

C - Camp is where the COOL people go haha

G - green gnomies! ok, so this is only at my camp...but he's our "good guy"! he helps you find lost stuff, make new friends and the like. :]
I - improvisation! we are always having to improvise when it rains, supplies run out, etc. :]
K - Kites on the beach that couldnt Fly....
L - Laughter!! One of the key components of a great summer!!!
M - [Magic] is the sun that makes the rainbow out of rain
O - over the fire cooking
P - paddles! [for canoeing and kayaking!]
Q - quiet time - something I wish we could have had more of at camp.
R-running around, we're always busy at camp which is great
T - trust! you have to trust your fellow counselors, and your instincts, too!
U- coUldn't live without it!

Y- yawning yoga early thursday morning in the lodge!

F - freezing cold - when the temp dropped to 42F (colder than a fridge)
G - Getting Friendship bracelets!
H - Harry Potter (seeing the midnight film and going to the midnight book release - adn then having to get up th following morning to work and then after the movie doing an overnight with my unit - bad idea but worth it.) I have been waiting for H yipee I finally got it.
I - independence. a skill we try to harbor in all of our campers, even the wee ones.
J-Jelly on a PB and J sandwitch that i only eat at camp!...i miss them...
K - Kylie (who was my summer sister this summer - summer sisters are basiccally secret buddies)
L - lemonade! though it's pretty diluted, i would kill for a glass right now. :]
M - mega thudner storms that last for 12 hours or cause us to be evacutated from our remote camping sites!

O - outhouse! well, we call 'em latrines...but they're the same thing concept-wise!

T- There is WAAAAYYYYY too much time before camp.
U - unless you break it down into manageble chunks of time it certainly seems that way - i look forward to christmas first and count down till then and then count down till camp
V- Very tru...i have countdowns for everything:)
W - well i only have a count down for Christmas cos I dont know when camp starts yet so cant have a count down for that yet, but there are only 59 days til chirstma
V - very smart i dont have count downs by days, mine is months (till camp) the only day countdown i have is smudge's

X - Xcepting the variability of start dates for me it is in something like 194 days give or take a few days
Y - Yikes thats a long time.. but i have my countdowns. makes it a little bit better.
Z - Zest for camp combined with the Zeal to be there will cause the time to Zoom by until the year reaches its Zenith and we are back at camp doing Zany things

V - very lucky to have heat - this summer the temp at night dropped to something like 42f - it was so cold i longed for windows let alone heating. Even our ad staff lived in rustic condititions - more rustic that the rest of us cos they lived in tents - we had cabins.

O - oh boy, first you think a carrot is a squash THEN you cant spell one of the best nights EVER.... haha what are we gonna do with you Amp.. but i love Mischief Night!!! Going back out at 10pm cause all the little boys and girls are Inside... and all the other kids my age are sleeping too cause nothing happens in this little wealthy area....
THIS is also where many harmless camp pranks take their toll in the off season!
P- people were callin the cops to we dcided to take a break...we didnt even do their house! and we wernt even planning to!
R - Really fun way to make mischief it "egg" people - take white paper and cut it our in the shape of splatted eggs, then color the center bright yellow and put blue tac or tape loops or something to make it stick and then stick to tents, cabins, cars, RVs, House etc and then wait for the reaction.
T - Try it - it is fun, i can totally recommend it, but filling your CD's yurt with 400 balloons is even more fun.
U- um i really wanna go back out but the cops are all around and the last thing i need is to get cought with my application in the fire company and all
U - uh oh... haha sooo im going BACK out later tonight. Mischief night is not just egging and TPing... its more like pranks. BUT Camp pranks are the best. and Smudge i think u mentioned the egging (camp style) before cause i used it! haha. I thought it was really cute sooo i just did it to my moms car... fun fun fun. Yeah there are a lot of police out tonight. Just spoke to one actually. GREAT GUY1!! he helped "egg" my moms car.
V - very fun pranks are only fun when no one gets hurt. Unfortunately not everyone appreciates that young people (both in age and the young at heart) need to be able to let loose once in a while without getting into trouble - if what they are doing isn't harming anyone else or damaging property.
W - with you on that one, Smudge. Let the kids have some fun!
X - xtremely boring people dont want the kids to have fun, and xtremely over protected parents.

A- AHHHH! Halloween is great!

C- cant wait till next year...i dono bout that one smudge...i had a pretty good 4th of July when i was on a trip with my camp and we had to stay at a different one...we did a lot of games and stuff...
D - did a carnaval at my camp for 4th july - had lots of fun and got wet and cold - then had to play my flute while driping wet and wrapped in a towel - I had been in the water helping the itle bittys do a sea horse race until about 5 mins before the "ceremony" - it was fun though
E - exciting! we don't have camp on july 4th! we get the 1st-5th off! :]
F - Fall is going so slow...
G - gearing up for summer already!
H - happy I will be when summer arrives cos it will be camp time, and my hands will no longer be dry and cracked cos of the cold (its started already)

K - keep ur spirits up - glad you are both OK, if its any consolation my hands are all dried and cracked from the lack of sun, cold weather and the washing up liquid we have which I am allergic to but it was all we had so had to use.

C - cliff dweller's: our primitive site. also home to our first camp shelter from the 40's.

H - Hoffman - the first camp I worked at for more that one summer!
J- Camp Virginia Jaycee- the first paid camp I worked at
K- Kiddie Keep Well Camp- the second camp I worked at and the most memorable camp I worked at out of all the paid and volunteer camps I worked for
L - Lewis, Delware was near the second camp I worked for.
M-Making friends who are more like family.
N - New Hampshire - where I went to camp the first time and also this summer, and hopefully the summer of 2008
O- o and they got the pumpkin festival up there!!!!...
P - perhaps one day I will get to see that Pumkin festival - i wanted to pick pumpkins this year but didn't have time.

As far as the lifetime thing goes, I was reading in "Sleepaway: The girls of Summer and the Camps they Love" that she met her best friend at camp one year and more than 30 years later she was in the middle of getting divorced from her husband of 29 years when her friend died. She wasn't sure what thing she was more broken up about!
I hope to find a lifetime friend- or at least a BEST friend (one you can go to with all your fears and problems and they will help you out in they way you need!) this summer!!

My friend and I had 2 hours to find a fast-food place that one of our friends was working at and get back to camp. It shouldn't have been more than 20 minutes away, at the most, and yet it took us almost an hour to not find it, so we turned around and came back. Turns out I think they missed something on the directions. However, the point is that we had ana amzing time getting lost! I am kind of weird and actually like getting lost and finding my way back to where I need to be. Actually, I usually end up finding a different way to get where I need to be, so it works out! I agree tohugh, it is a good relaxing thing to just drive for a few minutes, especially with the windows down in the summer!

M- Milk the dairy up the road has the best chocolate milk in the US

V- Very interesting place to do laundry, we get laundry sent out.
W- we do our own laundry under the office!
X-Xtraordinary places to do laundry, are these like basements I'm assuming.
y- yes, our laundry room is the first floor and then the office is upstairs
Z - zero excess heat in the basement were we do our laundry so it is a good place to hang out! Our basement is on ground level and so is the dining hall! But that is cos the building is built into the side of a hill!
A- Around the globe people go to get to camp.
B - Backpacks are very useful for carting around all that you need every day!
C- Carrying things is very much nicer to do if you have a backpack to do it with...
D - definately choose one that is big enough to take your clip board!
E- Everything else you need should fit as well.
F- finding the perfect backpack is really hard!!
I- I think backpacks are a wonderful invention:)
J - just as I do - so happy that I have a good one with lots of pockets - they will come in very useful!

M-my camp does lice checks on all the campers to make sure no lice comes in to camp! It helps to avoid an epidemic of lice!
N - nasty experience having lice at camp - last year there was an out break at our sister camp!

J- juice is amazing, especially when it is the camp variety, such as bug juice or RJ (my camp has Red Juice which is basically the same thing as bug juice I think)

ok, so totday I went to a family friend's high school graduation. He graduated from my high school. I was outside and all of a sudden i heard someone shout, "Giggles!" and I turn around and it was one of my fellow CIT 1 buddies!! she didn't go on to CIT 2, so I only saw her once after CIT 1, when she came to give some of our CIT buddies their 10 year presents! So i haven't seen her basically at all in the last 2 years and I got to see her tonight and it was amazingness! She had to leave right away, but she ran up and we gave each other gigantic hugs and such!!
And then, to make it even cooler, there was another graduation after my high school's (we have them at the local events center), so we cleared out fairly quickly. On my way I saw one of my other CIT buddies!!! This one did both 1 and 2 and was on staff for the rest of the summer last year, but it was still really cool to run into her! I told her I saw the other girl and she was excited too! but she had to go and get to where she needed to be since she was graduating!
SO it was totally cool!! I saw 2 of my camp friends while attending my HS's graduation and neither of them were graduating from my hs!!
ok, I am very energetic, so sorry about the rambling! i am going to start packing now so that i can officially say I have more than 2.5 weeks worth of socks packed!
D-Darn cool that is I say!! It's always fun to run into camp people. I never get to do that since my camp is not in the same state I live, but still think it's really cool that you got to see old friends!!

U- Underwear that campers seem to misplace or never claim- I had a whole cabin one session, that denied that the underwear that came back from the laundry was theres and said that it was the staff's underwear- like me or the other male staff in our cabin wore boys size 10 underwear
V- very true! None of my campers ever want to claim any dropped underwear, but they always (without fail!) forget some important article of clothing or a towel when they go to shower or change!
Same with socks! My campers will bring me a sock we find on a trail and want me to put it in the lost and found, as if the owner would even know they were missing a sock, let alone would be able to pick theirs out from all the others!
W - wearing clean cloths is something you have to remind younger campers to do
X-xtra underwear oftentimes gets used far too quickly or not at all! Parents send 6 or 7 pairs of underwear and the kids ended up putting clean ones on after swimming and in the morning! and then they say they don't have any clean ones! It's like, one pair per day is enough!
Another pet peeve is when parents don't send more than like 3 pairs of socks! ewwww At home, it wouldn't be so bad, but at camp the kids have to wear them all day and we are in the dirt too!

Actually, I am going to use one of my camp's unit slow songs. It is one of the verses. Ok, so the line really is all that needs to be posted, but I thought I would provide the whole verse! The song is for our high school girls unit and it is an amazing song!

and I know and ABC song that you sing the abc part as the chorus and then split the group in 2 groups and have them compete with nursery songs that fit the tune of the abc part. In between each side's nursery rhyme everyone sings the abc part. The firs group to repeat a song or not have 1 person sing a rhyme all the way through without missing a beat loses! It's an excellent Saturday thing to do after breakfast. No one can write anything down! However, there are sneaky ways of memorizing things that only involves the brain (and those of your campers!)
