there was another message board for camp pecoho but it got corrupted. i thought i would start a new one for camp pecoho, it was around a long time, my mother evelyn and her brothers marc and carl went there, then in the 1960's my siblings an i were campers there for years, i remember when the casino burned down, the swimming lessons with kittie, burt with his bull horn, the hikes in the woods, anyone out there with memories of this wonderful camp , pls post a message

I went to Pe-Co-Ho for years and years. I started out in the nursery when I was 4. My brother was a friend of Wayne, whose father, Izzy, owned it at the time. My parents eventually bought a house there and continued to summer there until about 1988. I was Glinda, the good witch, in the Wizard of Oz. I still talk about all the cutting edge folksongs I knew when I was little because the counselors all had beautiful guitars and would sing Dona, Dona and Blowin' in the Wind. Heidi K. was my best friend, and my parents were in touch with many people from there until fairly recently.

And I need to add that Kitty was a phenomenal (and tough!) swim teacher. Remember, she'd count in Yiddish?
