That's what I spend my week between school and camp doing! More packing than planning, since I am not a specialist, but in general I prepare for going to camp for the summer!

I haven't done anything yet. I'm such a slacker. It's been like... 9 years since I've been to camp, so all my campin' stuff has seemed to have disappeared over the years.

Hey everyone. I was bored this morning and tried to figure out something to do, and I remembered this board. I'm not sure how often I'll be here since I'm not coming back (and it's JUST starting to get real hard, even with my wonderful hubby, so I'm kind of trying to distance myself). But I wanted to tell you all that I miss you and I'll be down there often!!

I loved it last year when Smiles teased that you all would live in BV and wee would live in Petite -- WHAT?!

Specks, are you still volunteering for a session? Cuz you're not allowed to bail on us. I would like a Crafty Kids assistant *winkwinknudgenudge*

Oh man, I really don't want to live in the Glen! Never have, and really have no desire to! Though it IS quite pretty.

It's not that bad. It was my first unit as a camper.

RT -- I'm still planning on it but haven't filled out paperwork as I have a nanny job that might not let me miss a week. I will be down frequently for campfires, though, as well as CPR/First Aid training during pre camp and for the CITs.

Guys you are very close to making it to the number of pages you had last year so I bet you can beat it! Last year you (well we) managed 62 and at the moment you have 57 and nearly a month until you go to camp!

Yay! I know you can do it! Especially with help from Smudge, and a little from me!

On my computer it says that we are on page 22 (or 23, I forgot and I'm on the edit page so I can't just scroll up) and last year you got to page 25!

I hate nigths like that - I think when it gets to that point I would give up on the notion of sleeping before church - and just go to bed when I get home!

I've been having a lot of those nights lately. They mostly consist of frantically trying to finish homework. Ick.

I totally need to knuckle down and get some study done - I have aload of reading and exercises to do - I just have other things I would rather be doing like sewing badges on my blanket!

Yeah, I should have been studying if I was going to be up that late, but I didn't. I did clean my room though and it needed it badly! I actually stayed up til 6 and then slept through my alarm and got woken up by the youth pastor's call to see if I was ok and where I was since I wasn't at work.

I should have just stayed up the extra 2 hours, and slept after, but I didn't which makes me sad since they had like 8 preschool kids and normally we have like 1 or 2.

Oh daer. If it makes you feel any better I missed church yesterday too - cos I was too sore from pushing mum about glasgow on saturday - there is a distinct lack of dropped curbs in that city!

well, I suppose we can both take comfort in that we weren't the only one missing!

But listen Cedarledge friends... Missing church is no excuse to let this thread slip down so low! Hmm...

Do you have any camp plans specific to this year? Or new goals?

I feel personally like I've gotten to the point where I'm totally there for the kids and not so much for myself. Which I'm sure is probably a good thing. It'll be interesting to see how this year goes for me.
I found some really cute new crafts I can't wait to try out. One is a springtime no-snow globe. Instead of snow it has flowers and little plastic bugs inside. And maybe some glitter lol. We always have an abundance of glitter.
Another one involves taking a small block of wood, hammering nails into it in a certain shape, and then connecting the nails with wire to make like a little sculpture. Kind of hard to explain, but the picture looked really neat.

The nail sculpture sounds like a really cool project!
