Depends on the campers - some groups suit longer stories while others suit shorter one night stories

no Dr. Suess, but lots of other little and chapter books that were my favorite when I was younger!
Try to expose campers to older/different books, or read books like Hannah Montana and Harry Potter to them? (I bring books from my chldhood, and some new but not crazy popular books)

Older/different. I love Little Critters books, and my Shel Silverstien poetry books are always a lot of fun. I like reading stories that they haven't heard before.
Canoe trip/overnight, or hiking trip/overnight?

Canoe - cos you dont have to carry your kit as much
as staff going out with the campers canoeing, regardless of what your camp rules are, would you rather - be in a canoe with a camper, with another counsellor or in a kayak on your own

I think it would depend on how much a weeks pay bonus ended up being - I would take the one that gave me more money!

Chenoa didnt have one - but there are that make me think of chenoa they one is slow and the other is more up beat.

a pool and a lake so that you can boat too! The pool could be substitued for a portion of a clean lake though! That's what we have, just the lake, but a swimming area and then boating in the lake as well!
