all staff together - well I would say - let them all make suggestions then a group (mixture of ad staff, unit staff and program/activity) choose a short list and then vote (way to time consuming so would never happen but that would be my ideal.

think you could run things better than you any of the ad staff you have had in the past OR they have all done a fantastic job and deserve a HUGE pat on the back for all their hard work?

At my first camp-- they did a fantastic job and deserve a huge pat on the back--a 10 week camp season can be challenging -- 11 weeks with training

nights off-- early in the session or later

later in the session - to early and you are burnt out by the end of it!

ice-cream sunday bar or make your own subs?

tough call-- I choose ice cream sunday bar

for a staff meeting with a meal-- Subway or camp food

Dairy Queen? Nah camp food. Not Subway's biggest fan.

Mac n Cheese or Grilled Cheese?

neither - dont do cheese

definately - or at least a camp photo disc!

allocate camper beds before they arrive or allow them choose where they want to sleep?

I am not a big fan of either but I will eat if I have to

let the campers choose where they want to sleep unless you know in advance if a camper needs a bottom bunk for some reason

for staff banquet/end of camp celebration-- on camp or off camp

Both! Dinner off camp followed by a fire!


with the camper sleeping arangements we'll assign girls to a tent/cabin but let them choose their bed!

Camp staff waterproof - in an ideal world not what your camp does - given as part of the uniform or an optional extra staff can buy for cost?

YES!! One of the most fun all-camps we had last year was a huge dance party!


Oceans or pools?

seeing as I've never swam in the ocean I'm gunna have to say pools!

Doing the same program with different age groups (yes this is actually how this program is set up) Hug a horse 2nd and 3rd graders or hug a horse with 4th-6th graders Which one would you want?

Depends on my mood and who has TO at the same time!

backpack or shoulder bag for carrying your stuff around during the camp day?

Small single strap backpack! Hold water, rainjacket, and bugspray.

Crazy amount of mosquitos/blackflies/etc and no bugspray, or really sunny and no shade or sunscreen?

I would take really sunny

bug spray - love the stuff and use a can every few days or never touch the stuff?

Never touch it. It took 2 months before the mozzies got a taste for my blood. Then I was eaten alive but had lost my bug spray!
