I've got two answers...
Old Camp: I would take the TO because I didn't have time later to myself.
New Camp: Go puddle jumping! (or whatever the activity may be). I don't sleep in a unit/bunk with campers, so I can forgo my free period and not regret it later!

As a camper at a camp long ago, we had this option (hard for me to pick because I always wanted to do both!):
Sports or Arts and Crafts??

For most of my camps i would have went puddle jumping but at 2 week program I was in the post sesson I would say take my TO cos we got precious little of it

Last night at camp, let your cabin of older kids stay up all night watching movies on your laptop (or a quiet private activity they normally couldn't do) or opt to play pranks on all the other cabins?

An activity they dont normally do (if there is time after the all camp closing camp fire)

The activity you planned has been cancelled because of a storm - do you stick a DVD on for them or find some thing more creative to do?

I would try to find something a little more creative. Though, at my "new" camp, sticking a DVD in is quite easy... ;\)

It's the first day of camp, what is the first activity you do? Would you play a high action game, or sit in a circle and learn about all of the campers?
