Oh the zoo is fun. I am so glad it's not me having to wait to find out my job! Makes me feel real fortunate,

I know, me too! It's so hard, waiting to hear back!

Oh, and I didn't get that last job I interviewed for, but they sent on my application to my old high school, which also has a sub position to fill very soon... I have an interview for that today! I'm hopeful...

Good luck Indigo! And I know about waiting! I won't know until mid-February about what my position is this summer. Part of that is my fault though, in failing to send out the reference forms until now. But still! One of these days I will send out the references before I finish the application and get hired like a day after my interview or something like that.

Got the job, and I start Monday! It might be just for 8 weeks, but with the situation, I kind of think it'll be longer. They were pretty desperate to find someone, but they seemed to like me a lot, too.

Oh Brooke, come back and hire more people, please! \:\)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's awesome!

Thanks Smudge!

This is the first year I've really had to wonder while I wait. In the past I knew I was going to get the counselor position but this year I am applying for UC, DC director, and then counselor as a 3rd choice. I'll be happy with any of them, but I want to know which one it will be!

Yay Rosethorn!!! I too must admit that I will miss the lists! I still have like 10 sets of chopsticks sitting around that I was going to send you last year! hehe I am HORRIBLE about mailing anything! oops!

I still have to get 2 more reference forms in. Well, actually i need to get 2 more to the people since they are not answering their emails. 1 more is done and sitting on my desk waiting for me to mail it (oops, shoulda given her an envelope and stamp and then she could have mailed it in!)

Thanks, guys! I mean, I could just start listing things for no reason: egg cartons, toilet paper rolls, tissue paper, empty milk cartons...

Sounds like an activity for your CITS - give them random stuff and see what they can come up with as an activity for the campers!

Yay! Great minds think alike Rose! it is also fun to give them random stuff (including rubber chicken) and let them create a game - i did that last summer - the had a beach ball, baseball bat various sized balls, a hula hoop, a blindfold and a rubber chicken and we let me create a game - it occupied them all evening!

some of my favorite games have been made up on the spot like that. Still play a few!

check out the thread about making a two-liter soda bottle greenhouse, they take a TON of bottles (1000 - 1500) so you could put that as a priority on your list if you're interested!

I can see it - at the end of the summer half the camps represented on here will have soda bottle green houses!
