One of our fellow Cedarledgers, Bird, is in the Peace Corps in Guatemala right now. She helped organize and build a soda bottle wall around the school she's working at, both for added security and a use for some of the trash that accumulates. It looked pretty cool, especially when the sun shone through it!

Have you not thought about joinging the peace corps Indigo - from what I have heard about it - it seems like something you woul like!

I didnt know that the Peace Corps still existed until 2001 - I had always thought it was a very 60s thing - but totally awesome!

I've thought about it! I might still do it at some point, but at the same time, I really want to have a house and lots of pets, and start a life here. I've been wanting that for a while now, and it's starting to overwhelm my love of travel.

Hey we should join together, Indigo! I've been thinking about it, too. We could go to Jamaica and teach or something.

Just felt the need to move Cedarledge up again... more people are getting hired, and I believe we have less than 100 days left until camp! \:\)

Less than 100 days! OMG I need to get crack-a-lackin! I feel like I've done nothing to prep. Then again, I feel like CIT is not going to take as much physical prep as A&C did. Lesson planning, yes. Trash picking and recyclable storing not so much.

Haha, two summers ago I went on an airport run just before precamp, and we almost poached another camp's international staff! They were late to pick the poor staff member up, so we stayed with her and said if they didn't come, she could come back to Cedarledge with us. \:\) They did eventually show up, though!

Haha, I have to restrain myself sometimes... I have fun telling some horror stories, but the fact is, if they weren't so isolated, I wouldn't remember them so well.

I know what you mean \:\) Of course one of my funniest is the of the 2 girls who were at arrowhead for less than 48 hours - they had been at a different christian camp but they felt it was too extreme - so they got Camp America to switch them to Arrowhead and they arrived the day we were planning our staff over night which sent one of the girls into almost a panick attack cos she had a phobia of tents - hello but arent they kind of implied in the name of the program "camp america"!
