New things. Every time. As long as you're able to roll with the punches you should be able to change mid stream if it isn't going well...

thunder and lightning that rattles the windows or that horrible irish mist that soaks you without you even realizing it's raining.

depends on where I am, who I'm with, and what type of safety i have against the thunder and lightning, oh and how long it lasts! Otherwise I'd stick with the mist- hey, I'm from western WA, we know rain (though probably not the same as the irish mist you're tlaking about, I'll take my chances)

As for the new unknown or the old but proven- it really depends. Working with kids, teaching them life skills (reading, toileting, etc) especially with special needs kids, they really need something that is proven and if that fails we can move on to not as proven. It takes so long to teach some of them things that we really can't afford to waste precious time doing something completely ineffective when it could affect how independent they will be as adults. However, other things that aren't as crucial to quality of life- new is fun to try!

I've never had a uniform before but I'm perfectly alright with a uniform shirt and telling them to bring plain colored shorts as long as they supply the shirt or at least some of them. I can't afford to buy a whole new camp wardrobe before working at camp (or after for that matter (especially if I have to travel there). So I suppose if I have to pick I'd say no. Although I'm also perfectly ok with having a uniform for certain days, like parent days. I've got that at my camp now.

umm, question...

s'mores

as for twitter- agreed, except for people like Shonda Rhimes (creator of Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice) because she posts random tweets about the show and whatnot, so that's cool. Other than that, absolutely not! Just get a Facebook and post cool things and be able to do so much more!
