One of our theme weeks this year is centered around the idea of going on an imaginary cruise. One of our destinations is Canada (this is a camp in the US). If anyone could suggest field games, playground games, etc. that are popular with children in Canada for us to include in our programming that day I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance!

I'm not gonna lie... I was under the impression that Canada played a lot of the same games we do. I mean, they have MLB teams and NHL teams... maybe not football... Or do you mean something more like freeze tag?

Yeah, I don't think there are many distinct differences in games played here vs. in the US. There might be some different games in the Maritimes, so maybe try doing a search for games played there (ie. New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland).

Thanks for the tip. I'll try doing a search. I was guessing most games would be similar but playground type games sometimes even vary from one part of the US to another. I'm really just looking for social, playground type games, i.e. what tag games are popular, what playground ball games, etc. And I need to be able to back it up with a web-site or a "someone from Canada told me they used to play..." type thing. Even if they are the same, I want to be able to say, for example, I checked and guess what, in Canada they play four square the same way we do in the US. Thanks again.
