32 days-- kinda crazy that I am almost at the 1 month mark and most of you are either at camp or close to leaving for camp

i can finally say im.close to.leaving i sent you.a,letter marty.did you get it?

1 more day to leave but not arriving until Friday. Traveling first.

i am finally in the.single.digits!

31 days-- and yes I got your letter this morning

wow.it took.that.long to get there crazy!

Yeah-- the mail isnt usually that slow-- hopefully when I mail out my letter later this week it will get there faster

currently I'm halfway through my fifty hour bus ride out to camp! But once I'm close to camp I'm staying in a hotel for two nights to rest up and get ready for the summer!

I think if I was on a bus for that long, I would proberly sleep at least for 12 hours stright. Good luck on the bus ride and stay safe-- and get some sleep before camp :-D Its never a good thing to arrive to camp so tired that you are about to fall alsleep.

Since its after midnight I can offically say I have a month left until camp starts! I can finally start my 1 month countdown!

28 days left assuming I get accepted

I was at camp all week running lifeguard training. Am back home today, then heading back to camp tomorrow for low ropes training, and then pre-camp officially starts on Sunday, yay!

28 days left and our camp still needs more volunteers or campers will be turned away-- our camp runs on a 1:1 ratio so we need 1 volunteer to each camper-- or in some cases 2 volunteers to 1 camper. If anyone knows anyone who wants to volunteer the week of July 22-28 in Illinois let me know

Good bye all, I am hanging out in Panera right now waiting for a camp friend to pick me up to take me to camp. Have a great summer everyone!

27 days and Sting-- it seems like the past couple of years, they never have enough volunteers. They normally not accept an average of 15 campers every year. One of the probelms is they like to recurit volunteers from only 1 high school that is about 3 hours away from the camp. Plus the volunteers from that high school for the most part have not been the best volunteers we have had. Many people have suggested to the camp to recurit from other high schools and even college aged volunteers but they have told us to bug off in so many words. I mean they do so much recuritment because the high school they go to, the students only volunteer for 1 year to meet their graduation requirment then leave.

26 days and I got an e-mail stating they may have to cut back on campers and volunteers because they didnt make enough money on one of their biggest fundraisers. The camp is a non for profit and doesnt charge for camp -- for both campers and volunteers because they know that campers and volunteers can afford to pay $500 each.
