I'm in elementary education in university, but I have a DEC (cegep) in Pure and Applied Sciences. After my first year at camp I realized I wanted to work with children and I just didn't love sciences enough to persue a carreer in them. However, I am now contemplating getting a minor in Biology, but we'll see!

I went with other because my Bachelors is in Biology - which is a "Hard Science". My Masters though is in Arts in Teaching - Secondary Education.
I'm earning both simultaneously.

i'm undeclared. i go to a small liberal arts school and i don't have to declare a major until my junior year. right now i'm leaning towards sociology/social work so that would be in the social science category! lol.

I put education other. I am a speech pathology and audiology major with a minor in exceptional child psychology and I will have teachers certificate. I will work with children but probably younger then elementary age. I want to work with children under 5. But the degree could also be looked at as health care because I could work in a hosipital if I wanted to.

BS in Psychology... Minor in Theater right now (although I might drop out of that because the Theater chair/professor hates me and therefore I'm doomed to fail in the theater classes, but that's a different story)

Haha I love my catagory; Hard Science. It makes me sound like some kind of addict or somthing. I guess you have to be a little off your rocker to major in a lab science though. I'm a Geology major, and I love it. I live in Washington State, so we it's a prime environment for my study. Hey! I have to go get ready for lab right now actually.

Hey BugSpray, do you go to UPS? Washington is really a prime place for anything outdoors. I am still loyal to my home state of Oregon, but I really love it here, too! (I'm in Spokane at EWU)
I'm a rec management major, possibly doubling in counseling/educational psychology.

Rock-it. I DO go to UPS. I LOVE it here so much. Actually, our Leadership specialist form last summer goes to your school. Anna Moore (actually she just got married, but I don't know what her married name is). She's a flute performance major, so her camp name is "Treble". I mean obviously I don't expect you to know her because there are a lot of students at EWU. I mean if you knew someone at UPS there is a good chance I would know them too because we're so small hahaha. And yes; this is a great spot for geology.

Haha, I have a few friends at UPS. My friend Torri is (was?) a bio major. She and I worked at a camp together in Gresham. Also, my friends Joe G, Joe C, and Cameron all go to UPS. We all went to high school together, way back when.

I put other because right now I'm doing a few general education credits as a precursor to my application for a child and youth work degree program, which will allow me to work with kids basically in any therapeutic milleu.
