I am an ex-counsellor, having worked at Camp Vacamas in NJ for two summers as a teen division-head.
Having come across this board, I wanted to offer some assistance - by profession I'm an Emergency Planner for London (UK), which involves emergency planning, risk management and business continuity planning (amongst other things).
I couldn't make it to camp for the last couple of years, but I still feel connected to the ethos of summer camp, and am happy to try and help any camps in the Risk Management area.
I would happily give support in some of the procedures you can use for building emergency plans and business continuity plans, and probably have some risk assessment tools and templates that might be useful. I'd also happily review any plans or procedures and offer some advice from the perspective of someone who is trained and does this for a living, but who also understands camp.
