Wow, you guys are making me so camp-sick right now... and I'm only a camper!

I know what you mean!! I am always wondering why do this to ourselves!! But, the anticipation of camp will make it that muich more fun. Plus, I am always on here because of the- I don't want to say sisterhood because of the guys on here- cammraderie, I guess. It is awesome to be able to talk to other camp crazy people. Everyone at home gets sick of it and they just don't get "it", but on here they do! Everyone here basically has the "Camp Spirit!" Also, on here you don't have to explain every little thing. Sure, some vocab is different from camp to camp, but at the same time it is all the same!

By the way, welcome to the boards! I hope you don't become as addicted as some of us, but that you do enjoy the boards as often as you please!

You know you are a counsellor when you spent the day on the internet/phone booking buses and hostels so that you can go for your interview at the US embassy for your VISA.

When you get all excited cos your VISA paperwork arrived today!

And when the draw in your bedside cabinate contains: a headlight, a bag of tent pegs, a new travel alarm clock and 3 of those shammy leather type micro fibre towel things!

And your sock draw has swimming goggles!

When you give some one a really dirty look when they present you with two chocolate digestives with a marshmallow in the middle melted in the MICROWAVE and dare to call it a s'more.

hehe - my guides did something similar last year before camp - they put the choc digestive and a marshmallow on a disposable bbq and tried to call it a s'more - but the digestive was burnt and the m'mallow hadnt been heated!

absolutely! and this board has also had many "you know you are obsessed when...!" You can totally pitch in with stuff like that!

My life seems to revolve around camp!

I was telling someone today I was gonna spend the summer at camp they thought that I was gonna be a camper - it made me laugh! Since I am oldish!

That's pretty amazong, and I bet it made you feel a little younger!

When you turn your computer on 13 minutes before you have to leave for school just to check the ACA boards.

when you check the boards before showering and end up not having time because you were too engrossed or decided that the boards were more important!

Well, I guess that would be reasonable, because camp people are usually happy and cheerful.

I totally wanted to do that last night, but no one was on, so it was sad! Just a little homesick moment because I still haven't started my 10 page paper due Tuesday so I am freaking out and stressed and overwhelmed and mad at myself for letting myself get this bad (or good I suppose) about procrastinating!

Teehee, I already finished my project. And it took me a total of 1 hour!
