I'll be back at camp eventually this summer. Hoping to be there for 6 weeks, which is the majority of the time that the campers are there.
This will be my 14th summer at camp and my 9th summer at the camp that I am returning to. (There's a few years in there where I was a year round camp employee.) I'll be doing the same job that I have been the last few years - basically assistant camp director/person who fixes problems. It's a small camp, so I do a ton of different things.
As to why I will only be back for 6 weeks, instead of 10 (2 weeks training, 8 of campers), I'm expecting my first biological child in about a month. My step daughter will be 11 in a week. Step daughter has been coming to camp with me for 3 years, and will be coming again this summer. The baby will be accompanying me as well. So barring any complications, it should be a very interesting summer for me and the little one.
