I straighten. I have been known to wake up early to straighten my hair before the day starts. My hair isn't terribly curly, but it makes it more fine and easier to live with on the REALLY hot and humid days. My fellow staffers think I'm nuts for doing it, especially if we swim, but my hair is a pain and it makes me feel better.  Your camp allows non-ear piercings and coloured hair or not?

coming to camp for a specific program-- that way if I need to come up with my own programs I can come prepared and already knowing my own program, I know what I need, and I can spend time getting to know the other staff before the campers come-- staff training seems to go by so fast.
