D- deep-fried oreos. Actually I think they are gross but they are very popular and I first learned about them at camp.

G - Girl Scout cookies

H- hot dogs on a stick over a fire!! or hotdogs and hamburgers from bbq dinner!

I - ice cream sandwiches - they don't sell them over here

J- juice of the red variety Ok, so I know it's just a fruit punch of sorts but if I call it RJ no one else knows what I mean!!

K - krispy kreme donuts - ok we didn't have them at camp - but on the way to camp after session breaks

L- loads and loads of fruit and those itty bitty juice cans that are 4.5 oz! I love when a kid can't have or doesn't want one or they throw in an extra!! yay for 4 gulps of juice instead of 2!

M - marshmallows roasted over a camp fire - just isn't the same doing them over a candle

N- noodles and nachos (separate meals) over the fire, or Sunday evening spaghetti night

O - Oreo Cakesters - used to buy them as snacks for during TO

P- pie-iron pizzas!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe I almost forgot about those wonderful things (ok, is it just me or did I just sound a little bit like Junie B Jones)

Q - quesedilla - not really a camp food but the first time I had one was during TO from camp

R- rice krispie treats made over a fire and then just glomped over into the hands of the kids from the dish and then you need to wash hands, faces, arms, hair, etc to get it all out!

plus there are very few foods in general that start with Q and i have eaten quesedillas both over a fire and in the dining hall!

T- toasted over a fire bagels and cream cheese

we would have bagels and cream cheese in our units for breakfast once a week and some time over my years one of the staff built a fire in the unit and we put our bagels on a stick and toasted them!

U - Unshelled white boiled eggs (ok really struggled to come up with a food starting with U - and we don't have white eggs over here)
