ACA Home Forums accents at camp

I had the best experience in NYC. A lot of people warned us about New York- but it was nothing like they told us it would be. We spent only 4 days there- and I have wanted to go back ever since.

it's weird i never notice the "eh" thing but i relixed that i say eh all the time. I guess it's one of those things that you forget about because every one else is doing it too.

yeah, some ppl always think that canadians say 'eh' every sentence, but we don't. i mean it slips out every now and then but certanily not every single sentence. there's a video i watched in geography, it's called Where in th e World is Canada. it's pretty funny,'cause they interviewed all these americans asking them what they know in canada. a lot of them think that our PM is STILL P.E.T, they have no idea where is canada(geographically), they just keep on saying that canada is 'way up north', and that's where santa lives...stuff like that.This is not to offend any americans, just a little interesting fact i found out.

I was told by some campers in PA that I sound like the people on TV!

And I grew up in NorCal, but I do NOT say "hella."

My camp will be "interesting," accent-wise. It's in New Hampshire as well, and I am from the Baltimore-Washington area and have a Yankee accent. And I already know there's someone from Nebraska and Germany.

I'm from the UK, WE dont speak the Queen english but apparently will be laughed at for the way we speak (I love the American Accent - He He)
